Espressive Named a “Cool Vendor” 2019 by Gartner
Cool happens to be one of my favorite words – I’m told I say it often. Now that Espressive has been named a “Cool Vendor 2019” by Gartner, I have to admit I like it even more. So, it makes sense to write a blog about what’s cool about being in the recent Gartner report, “Cool Vendors in Human Capital Management: Enhancing Employee Experience.”1
First, look at the name of the report – “Enhancing Employee Experience.” We founded Espressive on the belief that getting help at work shouldn’t be so hard. While others focused on solving the problems faced by help desk analysts, Espressive shifted the focus to the employee—because you can’t have self-help if your employees are not engaged. From the beginning, a key strategic imperative of ours has been to create “exceptional employee experiences” . . . so it is cool to be recognized for that.
Second, while the report focuses on the human capital management (HCM) market, the report states that, “By 2021, 25% of digital workers will use a virtual employee assistant on a daily basis, up from less than 2% in 2019.” We believe that stat isn’t just about employees using an HR virtual assistant, it is referring to digital workers in general. So, enterprises have two choices—let every department pick their own virtual assistant and end up with “chatbot soup,” or implement a virtual assistant that works for the entire enterprise.
